Make-it, Take-it Workshop
For the first time ever, our Succulent Garden Workshop will be held ONLINE. Pick up your materials curbside at the Botanical Gardens and log onto ZOOM at 7 pm to join us for the class!
Material pick-up will take place on June 10 from 2:30-3:30.
Participants will design a unique succulent container garden while learning more about these exciting low-maintenance plants. Participants will learn how succulents grow and how to propagate them. Each participant can add some creative touches to their arrangement from a variety of supplies.

Join us for ONLINE Horticulture Classes!
Students have been asking us for years when we were planning on adding another series to our popular Horticulture Classes and here it is! Join us on Tuesday evenings this July as David Clark dives deeper into exciting horticultural topics with his signature verve. David Clark, Horticulturist & CNLP is fast becoming one of the country’s noted garden speakers! These classes are great for beginners or gardeners and landscapers wishing to brush up on their skills. Those who complete each series will be presented with a certificate upon completion. Horticulture I and II are not a prerequisite. Pre-registration is required.
Horticulture Series VII will be offered via Zoom, a free online audio-visual platform. David Clark will be teaching these classes from his home in order to maintain physical distancing practices. Handouts will be available for you to download. You will need internet access and a device (computer, smart phone, tablet, etc.) with speakers and that can connect to the internet. The link will be sent to registered participants a few days prior to each class.

The girls will learn coding skills, enhance their digital literacy skills, explore STEM careers, and navigate virtual platforms during this week-long project for beginners. Our students who have previously attended will be “advanced” learners who will hone their coding skills, learn web design skills, and be inspired by women in STEM careers.
Cost: Beginners $25, Advanced $45
The Girls Coding Project will take place from 9 am – 12 pm daily for two weeks in July:
- Week 1: July 13 – 17, 2020
- Week 2: July 20 –24, 2020
Beginner coders have the choice of attending the program either of the two weeks offered. Advanced coding girls will participate during both weeks of the program.
