Sessions at Daemen College (August 6) and Immersive Experiences held in community venues (August 7)

The WNY STEAM Conference, hosted by Daemen College,  brings educators from Western New York together to learn about and discuss STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Education in K-12 private, independent, charter and public schools.  The conference will include sessions that cover all aspects of STEAM with sessions led by K-12 teachers, college and university professors, and STEAM industry professionals.
This year, the conference explores the connection between STEAM education and “Building Buffalo and Beyond.”  “Building” takes on many meanings in STEAM. WNY based structures and products require concepts, designs, and prototypes that are all connected by the fabric of STEAM.  A wealth of informative sessions and Immersive Experiences will span the region to integrate science, technology, engineering, the arts and math.

Inspiring today’s students to integrate design and creativity – the guiding power of the arts – with science, technology, engineering, helps develop critical thinking skills and the fearlessness of ingenuity. Educators and STEAM professionals are invited to share their expertise and best practices at this annual conference for K-12 educators.
The deadline to submit a presentation proposal is February 28, 2018. Follow this link for details.
