Holst’s The Planets – Concert starts at 8:00 PM

This is a beloved classic piece, that resembles modern movie music even though it was composed in the early 1900s. There is a different movement for each planet! Holst’s interest in astrology led to its creation, with each movement intended to convey ideas and emotions associated with the influence of the planets on the psyche. Conducted by JoAnn Falletta.

This concert is suitable for adolescents ages 12 and up. Student tickets start at $20. There are special group rates available saving 15% off ticket prices for groups of 10 or more! Arrive early for a chance to check out the Buffalo Museum of Science Pop up Planetarium. This event offers an opportunity to explore science and technology while enjoying the beautiful music played by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
