The WNY STEM Hub recognizes school systems in five counties for their commitment to enhancing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and related programming. The following school systems were recognized in 2014 because they demonstrated a commitment to allocating resources, developing staff, establishing programs or identifying priorities for STEM.  A team of non-school nominators across all counties suggests school systems for recognition. Systemic commitment to STEM is validated by the school system’s published curriculum and programs; board of education priorities and allocations and/or school site visits by the WNY STEM Board of Directors.  The recognition program was in partnership with Siemens Industry, Inc.
